We are always striving to be a contributing and valuable part of society.
July 2023 till March 2024
Create4Adelaide is the culmination of a year-long project from Adelaide Festival and Sabir. Launched during the 2023 Festival, this project brought together young people across SA to respond creatively to climate change priorities. The final exhibition was held in March 2024.
Nanny Cryssie was an ambassador for this project and our entry was done alongside on of my nanny kids. Our entry was voted into the exhibition.
October 2023
A superhero themed fundraiser to raise funds for a local Seaford family whose young daughter had been diagnosed with Cancer.
I volunteered my time to supervise the jumping castle. I was dressed as a super-nanny, and Sir Snoop was a lifeguard.
$11,000 was raised that day.
since January 2024
I am an active general committee member for ANA and the South Australian rep. I support the ANA with odd jobs on the committee, including: the annual easter event, conferences, magazine submissions and Nanny Recognition Week events.
since February 2024
My first children's book, "How to Build a Rainbow", was published in January of 2024. Since then, I have been visiting childcare centers, libraries and more to share my book during story time.
May 2024
The Lollipop Markets is a market for boutique small businesses to sell their products/services in a collective space. Mainly aimed at baby and parenting products.
In May 2024, Nanny Cryssie and CalmPlay joined forces to facilitate a space within the markets for children to play. It was also a great opportunity to display and sell copies of my new book. And unintentionally, it became a safe space for the children of vendors to hang out while their parents were working at their respective stalls.
March 2024 till August 2024
In 2024, I headed the launch and maintenance of the children's area within the Seaford Wetlands Community Garden member access area. This has been my biggest project to date and one that I am extremely proud of.
Together with the help and support of the SWCG committee, my nanny families, and my own family; we created a vibrant and inviting space for the children of current SWCG members to play and garden.
While I was directing the design of the space, we added: a mud kitchen with canopy, toy storage, rock garden, two large garden beds and a few smaller ones, a tunnel, seating areas, a fairy garden, a teepee, a small racetrack, a small slide, and a pollinators garden.
During my volunteering period at the SWCG, the Nanny Cryssie crew (myself and my charges), were able to access the space for play and learning. We sowed and planted lots of fruits and vegetables including: strawberries, beetroot, beans, mint, and lettuce. From that we were able to harvest some mint, beetroot and lettuce to take home and share with one another. We also planted lots of flowers and painted rocks for the kindness rock garden.

The Nanny Cryssie crew had the privilege of being included in the 2024 Onkaparinga Council Christmas Pageant held in the suburb of Christies Beach, Adelaide.
With parents and kiddies joining the stroll in our 3 Christmas spirited wagons. A great way to celebrate the end of the year and last event for the year.
Twice a year, the Nanny Cryssie crew gather for a collective catch-up. As I have multiple families, that don't often interact with one another, this is a great opportunity to foster connections. Often these catch-ups helps parents build new friendships alongside the friendships their children flourish in.
An app where all active clients can readily access information, chat, view policies and documents, and ask questions within the community. Essentially an internal client hub, accessible via an app on their phone and via desktop.
Once a year, all the nanny kids and nanny Cryssie get all dressed up for Children's Book Week alongside the rest of Australia for this weeklong event organised by the Children's Book Council of Australia.
In 2023, Nanny Cryssie represented the "Very Hungry Caterpillar" book by Eric Carle. And in 2024, Nanny Cryssie dressed up as the Hairy Strawberry Fairy from her very own children's book, "How to Build a Rainbow".
Being a part of the Nanny Cryssie crew means you also get exclusive access to some very cool stuff. Like access to equipment hire of our Burleigh Wagon and WonderFold Wagon.
Making taking the kiddies out a whole lot easier, sustainable and more cost-effective for you.
Whether it is as an ambassador, volunteer work, or a paid collaboration - reach out to me if you would like Nanny Cryssie to be a part of your vision.
