A place where a child's heart & soul is captured in wholesome imaginary stories inspired by the creative world within their play.

How to Build a Rainbow

A book about teamwork, imagination and colour.

Where play meets imagination; adventure begins. Nanny Cryssie and her crew are on a mission to build a rainbow with their creative and quirky ideas.

MEET THE AUTHOR

Hey, I'm Crystle!

Also fondly known as Cryssie. I am a local businesswoman, childminder and author in the Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia. I have a love for colour, imagination and the nurturing of young minds and hearts.

I started my career in the Early Childhood and Primary/Middle school sectors in 2007. Progressing through various roles, working with children from newborn to age 13.

In 2022, I launched my nannying business as a sole trader. Ultimately ending up doing the work I love most.

In 2023 I decided it was finally time to focus on publishing a children's book and in 2024 I published it. A lifelong dream of mine. Being a nanny has been a dream job and was the inspiration for the theme of my first book (there will hopefully be many more).

THE PERFECT GIFT

FOR YOUR LITTLE ONE

A great gift for little ones aged 2 to 6 years. Whether it is for a birthday, Christmas, or just because. This book is also suitable for minis under 2 - a book is something you can grow with, as you develop understanding and build on concepts. Even from a young age.

When a child reads a book with you, it supports their cognitive development and build the library of words in their vocabulary. Crucial in helping build a strong foundation for future learning.

What our readers are saying

My boys have been giggling along to your story every night since we received it. A favourite.

- Lucy Eleftheriou (mumma reader)

One of the most beautiful and colourful (exactly like her) books I've seen! My son James, in particular, loves it and somehow it has migrated from the family bookshelf to his personal one in his room.

- Nissa Rae (mumma reader and fellow indie author)

The hairy strawberry fairy is my favourite. He makes me laugh.

- Pippa (3 year old mini reader)
